I'm going to make hats for the rest of my life!

chapeau numero deux. for a girl that i work with. Made from yarn that was once the start of a sweater. Oh and this is funny....

NOTE: The only reason Obama is holding the arugula, is because the creator of this image wanted to mooch off of Shepard Fairey's tableau. Sehr gut, fellow artiste, sehr gut.
AND I think this is worth sharing, I have no idea where I found it, or where it came from, but it's beautiful.

k done bye.

TODAY: I made another hat. This one is just your average beanie with a loverly flower. I made it at work today, and actually sold two. Going $20 a pop. Wooo hoo. Here's to productivity, and nice things like flowered hats. I really want to make matching mittens with little flowers on the wrists. BAH theres a squirrel on my porch roof watching me. Notice in the bottom picture the crooked smile strikes again. Over and out!

TODAY I MADE A HAT. After untangling all of that yarn, which took me a better part of the afternoon, I was able to free some of this ridiculous teal-green-blue-purple shit. I used this to make this hat. :) Im making a little flower for it as we speak. I'll be sure to take a picture of it before its finished. I watched 100 Girls and 100 Women today while making this. Both are entirely worth the time, and a good laugh, as well as a wonderful gaze into the mind of a heterosexual man. Lets face it...there's really not much going on there. :P

Enlightenment.

I've decided what I'm going to do! A friend of mine told me I should really look into selling crocheted stuff. So I will! BUT FIRST! I must face the battle that is Miranda VS. Yarn 2010.
My grandmother recently moved and gave me a lot a lot a lot of yarn, but it's all tangled in this huge not, as shown above. I am now trying desperately to untie it.

BY THE WAY: This is my new favorite song, and I've just found the sheet music, so you can bet my ass is going to be planted on my piano bench for a better part of the evening. >

Peace out brussel sprouts.

YUM STRAWBERRIES

Here is an origami strawberry I made, after being provoked by a friend questioning my abilities. Suck it. :P
Okay, today most of my frustration comes from the fact that I do not have Adobe Flash CS4, and cannot afford it. Why didn't anyone think of the bone tool for CS3? Animating Alowishus would be exponentially easier if I had the newer one, but I can't get it because I have a version of the CS3 suite which does not permit me to update without receiving a lot of legal attention and fines. If you know what I'm saying...

I've also been feeling very restless lately and have been itching to make something new and exciting. I think I'll begin a quilt-like paper thing from magazine adverts. Maybe. I just know that I need something to do.

This is a little gouache landscape i did today. Just for shits and giggles. I didn't finish it because i was becoming too impatient. I'm debating adding ink to it. That final step usually makes or breaks the piece I feel, and by then its too late to salvage it. Blah.
